the journey: more important than the destination

An alumna of Modern School, New Delhi, I pursued Economics (Hons.) at Lady Shri Ram College, followed by a B.Ed. Early in life, I was given opportunity — serving as President of YEU Hagenau France, LSR Hiking Club, competing as a State-Level Basketball Player, and leading high-altitude expeditions which helped me build mental, physical and spiritual strength.
My professional path spans teaching institutions such as Pathways and Lancers, founding Dishaa Educational Society to teach underprivileged children, writing and directing spiritual dance dramas, ( which I thoroughly enjoyed ) and serving as Director of Student Life at Plaksha University.
But life’s greatest learnings came through personal adversity.
When my husband was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and given five years to live, with divine grace we refused to accept limitation. We found ourselves immersed in sacred texts, chanting the holy name, holistic healing sciences alongside medical care. His life extended to seventeen years. These 17 years were the best years of his life full of fun and laughter and living each day as a gift. He was working full time till his last two months and led a quality life inspite of FVC of 41%.
'That journey' transformed us.
The teachings of the sacred texts were not just abstract philosophy — they became lived truth. This path led me to complete a Master’s in Vedic Studies and try to deepen my commitment to 'Bhakti' as a way of life.
My work stands at the intersection of:
• Scriptural wisdom
• Lived resilience
• Holistic insight
• Devotion in action
Today, I offer spiritual counselling for those navigating grief, transition, work, relationship, health challenges, and inner seeking.
But the work does not stop there.
My long-term vision is to establish 'Raj Rishi School' to create Raj Rishis — r rooted deeply in ancient heritage, scriptural wisdom, and spiritual discipline, while integrating a strong,IB/ IGCSE/ modern academic curriculum. An institution where character is as important as competence.
Where devotion coexists with critical thinking. Where ancient wisdom prepares young minds for contemporary leadership rooted in pride in ancient heriatge
I believe in one principle above all:
Never Give Up.
on learning.
on faith.
on the higher purpose of life.
on divine possibility within you.
especially when you are feeling down...
If you seek a loving ear — I welcome you with folded hands!!
